Hey guys, so my 96 Sierra 2500, has a somewhat loud clunking/ clanking, it's only when you are putting the window down, I tried lubing it up with some WD-40, and that helped it glide smoother, but the noise is still there. You can also hear a some slight noise on the drivers side, but it sounds fairly normal.

What could this be?

Also, I noticed the glass is starting to delaminate around the edges slightly, is there any problems that may occur from this (cracks, leakage, etc.) or will it just look strange?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like the nylon glides on your window regulators are getting sloppy. Window motors/regulators are a fairly common failure on the GM trucks, welcome to the club.... As far as the glass, can't help there without actually seeing what it looks like.

I know it's not the sliders, my dad owned this truck and it has been sitting since '02, so I highly doubt the slides are wore out

I can take some pics if need be of the winshield, but what types of things can happen?

I just had to replace the pass side mechanism in my wifes 02 Avy this summer.... Looks like you will have to pull the door panel and see what you are working with.
