Towing Mirror For Gmt900

On my old TV, I had the door mount type towing mirror. I actually still have them. They could almost use the Buckley's cough syrop slogan, just switch "taste awful" with "looks awful", but it works.

So long story short, I'd like something that is a little bit more visually appealing, yet at the same time functional. I don't want to replace my existing mirrors with OEM towing mirrors because I don't want to loose the heated and power folding functions. So I've been looking at those on eBay:

clip-on towing mirror

I know that traditionally, clip-on mirrors tend to vibrate a lot, these are the first ones I see that clip on all 4 sides of the mirror, just not top and bottom with a set screw in the back to add tension.

Anybody tried them? If so, what do you think of them?

Thanks,

Marc...

Get a set of CIPA's, I love mine....easy on and off.

2 things you need to know about the CIPA's

1 - The protection foam will wear off. Get those black foam self stick hobby sheets at Wally world to replace it when it does.

2 - DO NOT tighten the clamp bolts too much. They will stay on without excessive pressure.

I have chrome covers, and it does not hurt the finish.

This is not where I got mine, just showing you the mirrors. Shop around. I paid about 50 bux for mine.

I have seen those too, glad to hear the work good, it might be an option to consider. For looks, I am leaning towards the ones I posted above because they seem to wrap around the stock mirror, so it almost looks like a one piece mirror and not an add-on.

Well, I was going to get them in the spring for my truck, so why don't you get them now and let me know how they work before I get them  I've had the CIPA's for my last truck and what compulynx said is true about them.

Either why, I don't think you'll go wrong.
