04 Sierra Throwing Codes

ok so i did a lil off roading and a couple days later i started throwing codes. i ran a scanner on it and came up with mass air flow and the knock sensor. ive noticed at hight rpms my truck starts to cut out a lil. like 3500-4000. what should i do. why would these items be sending check engine light codes. the truck has 82000 miles. i deploy in 2 weeks so id like to try to get this fixed before without having to go to a shop or the dealer if possible.

Did your off roading include splashing water?

yes it did

p0102 and p0332

Could you have gotten into enough water to have ingested it into the intake? If so you can fry a MAF that way. MAFs don't like water. If you got into enough water or washed your engine you can (not always) get problems from the knock sensors since they are beneath the intake. People that have replaced them have seen signs of water getting into the KS wells.

 

I would check all your wires, wire connections to make sure they are still good and tight. Check the MAF and clean it. You may be replacing both things before you're done.
