My friends neighbor backed into it with a lifted Dodge. Its ok though because I know the guy and will be getting it fixed no cost to me.

Sorry to see that man! Hope it doesn't cost you too much to get fixed.

Kinda looked like you did this:

backed into a pipe

That reminds me of a guy that I worked with. Bought a new Pontiac Grand Am GT, whipped into an underground parkade, paused for a second questioning if he could make it by one of those cement pillars, figured he could so continued on, and took out the side of his car! Idiot!

I was kind of expecting to see something cool from the OP (you know, when you buy something pre-santa for yourself). Nobody likes gifts like that.

I'd say it would be about $300-500 for the body work + taillight cost.

well, as much as it sucks, sounds like your friend is being a stand-up guy about it if he is going to take care of it for you. Then again, when he sees how much they get for an OEM tail-light assembly....

I have a nice scratch on the upper bumper skirt below the grill from where someone probably wacked a lap-top case across it in the work parking lot.....no note, no nothin...cork-soakers...

As soon as the weather gets a little warmer, i'll try to tackle it with a little 3M perfect it and try to buff it out. Looks like that might take care of the worst of it.

OUCH!!

I did the same thing but to the other side. Patched it up with some red tape from AutoZone I plan to order a replacement from PartsTrain.com. Hafta buy the whole light assembly, inculding bulbs, but I understand that its only 2 screws to replace.
