17's To 15's?

Hi everybody, I've always believed that the more rubber you have the better. Meaning a smaller rim size. I have a 2006 GMC Sierra and I was wondering if anyone has went from the stock 17" wheel to a 16 or hopefully even a 15" wheel. I would like to put 15's on, but I'm not sure if the wheel would hit the caliper. Thanks in advance.

15s is a bit dinky, i have 16s and they seem just right...

 

So 16's will fit? Did you have to do any modifying for them to fit?

He has an 04. 05+ trucks require 17" minimum to clear the front brakes. Did you not read my reply?
