Evap Valve Code P0449

Question

Really needing help with a EVAP valve issue. Maybe you guys (or gals) can direct me.

My EVAP VALVE went out and was repaired by my local GMC Dealer/Service Center. Being a die hard overfiller my problem has returned with the P0449 code. Did a quick search on this forum and found a few pics showing the location of the Evap valve. My problem is, I can't seem to locate the EVAP Valve. If GM made the repair they would have used the GM Service Kit/Upgrade and relocated the evap valve, right??? and if so where is it?????

It's location is in front of the gas tank, next to frame, where cab & bed come together.

I have replaced the evap solenoid and code went away on its own the next time i drove the truck. Part=$38

5/8" dia. heater hose 1 foot long and 2 hose clamps (around $5)

took about 10-15min to change

have you tried calling the dealer who installed the updated kit and asked ???...I'm not 100% if it is fact, but I read somewhere that it would be relocated above the tranny

the valve should be in the pics, the filter is relocated ,I used to put them beside the master cyl,it worked good

the factory thought they were doing right by putting the filter on top of the tranny ,great move engineers ,another "fail"for the general
