Fuel Pump

Hello. Im new to this site, and this is my 1st post so please allow me for any errors. I have a 02 yukon denali xl with a 6000 vortex. In the beginning the truck would start and shut off, but would always restart and no more problems. The problem got progressively worst and would start and shut with no restart as if it was starving for fuel. Check fuel filter and replaced it. Also check pump while fuel filter was off with bottle inserted in fuel line and pump was working. Well. the truck started and ran idle for about 5 minutes and died. Got the truck back home and checked for sound from fuel pump and no sound. Check for insuffficient fuel delivery and no fuel line leaks. Check fuel pump with filter off and no fuel. removed cover from underhood electrical center. Located the fuel pump prime terminalin the electrical centerand connected a 12 volt tester to a good engine ground. Probe the prime terminal with the test light and turn the ignition to on. The test light was dim then brighten for 2 seconds then dim again.I assume the pump relay and circuits were all working properly and proceded to the fuel pump wire plug at the pump. Using my test light and a good ground tested the plug after disconnecting it from pump. The way i tested this was to run a jumper wire from the fuel pump prime in the underhood electrical center to the hot side of battery. the test light glowed with contact wth gray wire. Thinking pump was bad so i replaced it with new pump. Still new pump made no sound and 0 fuel delivery. Thinking i was sold a bad pump returned to store and still the same problem.

Your post was a bit confusing. So you have 12v back at the wiring harness that connects to the fuel pump? If you search other posts, you can check the fuel pump with an OHM meter.
