Cargo Light Question

OK, this may be a stupid question. I am sure I'm missing something, but here goes anyway....

 

I only have my new truck for a few months. When I first got it, if I pushed the unlock button on the remote, the reverse lights and cargo light would come on for about 20 seconds or until I opened the door.

 

For some reason, now only the reverse lights come on when I push the unlock button on the remote. I thought I was crazy, but my wife remembers the cargo light coming on as well because it is really dark in our back yard and she thought that was a cool feature.

 

I have not done any modificatiosn that would affect the lighting or electronics. The cargo light works when I manually put it on from the switch inside the truck. Is there a way to deactivate/reactivate the cargo light coming on with the unlock button?

Never read about one

 

Take it to the dealer and see what they say. I wish GM would have left the switch alone and included another so you could turn on the outside light without turning on the inside ones too.

If you have the premium sound stereo there is a lot of options you can change in it for keyless entry, like horn beeps and lights, try messing with the that and see if it was turned off there???

that's the DIC, and you have to have the one with the buttons, or get the DIC Upgrade.

Are you sure you didnt turn off the interior light switch which is the push button under the dimmer switch? This button will turn off the inside lights when the door is open along with the cargo light.
