I Was Lookin At Rpo Codes...

I was looking at the RPO codes in my glovebox and using the code lookup link i found in another thread, and it says that my truck (99 sierra 1500 Z71) has a G80 rear differential. The RPO code was G80 and i thought it was weird so do i really have a G80 differential, i had no idea that these were available on 99's

im a little confused so could someone clear this up a little

 

still looking more things up and if i find anything else interesting i will post

G80 has been around for years,My '83 S10 had it,Its not a rare option at all,A lot of trucks have it.

The Eaton Gov Lock debuted in Gm trucks back in 1973...... it's nothing particularily new.
