Finally, A Pic Or Two....

I finally took some pics of my truck to bad it isn't clean in these pics. The pics I took are too big to upload apparently. I installed the TopGun 2" kit a week or so ago. I just got the add-a-leaf for the rear, and a Magnaflow muffler in today. I hope to install the leafs after work tomorrow. Hopefully the muffler will be installed Sat morning.

lolIi wish my garage was clean and organized enough to fit my truck, but my gf still has half of the garage taken up by her boxes... grrrr; alas I can only fit my 2 motorcycles in my garage till I invest in some storage racks and organize her boxes of what I call junk for her....

Me too, that would be awesome. My extended cab standard bed doesn't fit properly in my garage.

Nice truck. I park my truck the same way in a garage, all the way back, when the door closes I have about 2".

My crew cab Colorado had about 4 inches to spare in the garage. No way the Silverado would fit.

 

The motorcycle and Corvette do fit in the same bay though. And the wifes car in the other, and my tools, but still not much room to work as I have a dual door set-up as opposed to one large door. STUPID!

Love my garage. I can walk around 3 sides of my truck in the garage, however any longer and I'm afraid she just wouldn't fit.

Yeah, that's why when we were having this house built I opted to spend a little extra on our garage. We got a 3-car, and had the builder lengthen the 2-car section by several feet and add taller garage doors. On the 2-car side it's about 26' long and the door is 8' tall, so I can easily fit my truck in with a ton of room to spare. I figured might as well plan ahead in case I ever need to park a lifted 2500HD CCLB or a bass boat trailer in there.

You'll probably get opinions either way. I read up on them a little on the forum, and read some info on Bilstein's site that seems to say they're a little better than the leveling kits. What's nice is that you can set them for different levels of lift (roughly 0.6", 1.2", or 1.75") when you install them. I think one of the big benefits that I liked was that you can go with one of the lower settings to still get some lift while hopefully slowing any premature wear that a full 2" leveling kit would cause, which is why I went with the 1.2" setting. Another benefit is you get improved shocks over the stock ones and I think the front end now feels a little more composed over bumps than before. They are pricier than leveling kits (my cost was $210 shipped), but I think it was worth it.
