Cold Start Problem

My 2000 Silverado suddenly this year decided once it gets below 0 it will not start. Even plugged in. (I live in North Dakota).

Took it to a shop, fuel pressure ok so put on a new fuel filter, same thing.

Tried new battery, did not help.

Somebody said spark plugs (83,000 miles on truck), replaced and did not help.

It turns over just fine even cold but will not fire, as soon as you let off on the ignition key it fires. It wont fire while cranking only when you start to let off on the key.

Any ideas??

Thanks! I think I will try that

Hi;

The next time it won't start take a hair dryer and warm up the ignition switch. I'll bet it starts. I had the same problem and it was the switch.
