Flares

after getting all terrains i'm thinking of putting the black flares on the truck, my question is are they worth the 80 bucks a pair? also how easy are they to install? i do not want to start drilling through the truck for chunks of plastic, i got the hard mud flaps and they installed pretty easy, just popping the pins into the holes..

I bought the black textured fender flares for my truck this past summer. They applied really easy! They have sticky tape on them, and that is probably the trickiest part and its not hard at all. I held them up, made sure the holes on the inside of the fender would line up. Then i took the backing off the tape, and put them on, and made sure to push up on them, towards the top of the fender from the bottom, so they sit up against the bottom lip of the fender. Then i put the push pin holders in, that go in the holes in the inner fender wells, and your done. I like them as well, and put them on, as on the gravel roads it doesn't throw mud up on the fenders.

awsome, so your saying the holes are already in the fender? yeah i drive on alot of gavel and shit and i'd rather not pile scratches on the paint lol, plus it would look bad ass

They sure should be. Go look where the metal on your fender turns under and meets with the inner fender liner. There are small holes already in place. I bought my truck and instantly knew i wanted to put the flares on, black on red so i knew it would look great. But people told me to leave it as it is, but so glad i did. This spring they will come in handy when the frost thaws and the roads are crap. You can already see how much it saves throwing up on the fender. I am taking my dad out to eat, and when i get home i will find the ebay seller i bought them from, might be cheaper then what your looking at. They are the actual GM ones, with the GM logo on the inside of the flare. But i still think i paid about $285 after shipping, so if you can get them for $80 a pair thats pretty decent. Ryan

Yep its easy....My advice is to put all your plastic push pins in so everything is lined up then remove the tape and stick them on....also use RUBBING ALCOHOL! They will stay on forever.

rubbing alchol where?

Rubbing, or isopropyl alcohol is used for cleaning the painted surfaces prior to application of the tape. Rubbing alcohol will remove grease and wax from the surface, so that the tape will stick to it. Use 70% rubbing alcohol, they also have 90+%, but that is too strong and could damage the paint.

His pricing will be better then a dealer....I didn't check but someone told me the price through the dealer and i said no way. He got me what i wanted, and are the same thing. I hope he can come through for you.
