Can Someone Explain ?

Okay, Paco drives a Ford. I guess, for real.  But....he likes the GM site.  Or, he likes to visit it. Not bashing or causing trouble, or agitating.

I don't think I have ever been to another brand of truck site. I don't know anything about them.  So I cannot add anything or ask anything.  He seems to know about GM's.

So...does Paco want a GM product?  Does he already have one??  Is he a GM dealer??? Or, does he work at and own an Enron's supply of GM stock and want us to buy some????

Any explanations, theories, conjecture, ideas, comments, discussion, etc., etc., is encouraged.

I haven't been around here very long but my guess is he's found that this is just a good group. Maybe a lot of us closer to his age. I first saw him at a another ...eh Pickup Truck site sporting Yukon Gold "Bling Bling" and I wasn't to cracked up about that place either.

Am I close??????????

Paco, owns a ford yes, and yes he knows quite a bit about GM trucks.  In fact he knows a lot about cars and trucks in general.  Despite his goofiness on the boards and his use of the phrase "bling bling" Paco's a good guy and is nothing but an asset to this board.  He's just got a few quirks and IMO that's what makes him such a cool guy to have around, he keeps things lively and lightens the mood.  So, I say Ford guy or GM guy, who cares, he's a great guy to have around.

*Guys, just remember, do not turn this into a bash Paco thread*

I think paco is funny, in a good way  :D

The posts you guys have with him are priceless sometimes

Any theory's, nope, haven't been around long enough yet.

He's a "closet GM'er" and he's in denial.

We've been working real hard to get him to see the light, and to buy a GM HD. His logical side keeps him here and tries to get on the right path of truth and knowledge, but his distorted emotions continue to plague him with Ford and Dodge fantasies. He buys them, but gets zero satisfaction from them and comes in here to get his daily dose of reality and sensibility.

Paco is a good guy who likes this message board!

I think most of the time he posts anti GM stuff just to see people get all wound up...

I ran over him one time and felt real bad about it.  I thought that a rabbit fur steering wheel cover would be nice but I was too ridden with guilt.  So, I took it off the steering wheel and put i back on Paco.  Luckily, he recovered and is well....an asset to GMTC.

PACO RULES PACO RULES PACO RULES!!!!!

To make sure there is no misundestanding, I did not intend it to be a "what is he doing here" post.  I posted in the "Lighter Side" area because I enjoy his posts and picture manipulations.

Someone has a caption saying "Paco made this pic for me and overcharged me" (lol).  He does know what he is talking about and I have never sensed any maliciousness or malice. Just friendly jabs, but not without helpfulness. I l ike to see what he has to say next, also.

Thats ok Texdoc! Nobody took it wrong!  We just wanted to make sure some of our other friends didnt come in and start to beat up Paco...!  You're comments are welcome here.....like I said....

PACO RULES.....we arent sure what he rules, BUT HE RULES!!

Paco must be working on the Tord or trying to find parts for a Dog because we have not heard from him on his thread yet.  Maybe he is out enjoying his faviorite past time of shooting the dog or running over bushes who knows but he will be back with some bling bling excuse for missing out on all this fun.  Where oh where has little Paco gone?  :D

He's probably laying on his bedroom floor..."I'VE FALLEN AND I CANT GET UP!!!!".....either that or he's out installing a "Clapper" remote truck starter.....CLAP CLAP..........vrooooommmm........ :D

    • You're better read than that Atlas. 😏   British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke formulated three adages that are known as Clarke's three laws, of which the third law – that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" – is the best known and most widely cited.   Stribeck and the pivotable Hersey Number isn't voodoo nor snake oil. That part is physics. It's what marketing and bean counters do with it that is snake oil and voodoo.    Stribeck is the relationship between Hersey and the Coefficient of Friction. Within the Hersey Equation if viscosity and viscosity is 'Dependent' on.......heat.......and.......viscosity index or the temperature to viscosity slope.    Specifically Hersey is the viscosity AT THE TEMPERATURE IN THAT LOCATION FOR THAT SLOPE.   Hydrodynamic lubrication exist when the film thickness in the location is 3X the Ra roughness of the surface. This is irrespective of the hardness of the substrate. To obtain that thickness X viscosity is required for Y velocity at Z load. That's a lot of moving parts. It is also impossible to maintain in an ICE but nearly possible with a turbine under constant load.    What does that mean? Error heavy and operate light. Wear is inevitable but the rate of wear and the milage obtainable are a function of prevailing conditions and HABITS. The only penalty is viscous drag and at fractions so low as to be well worth the effort. Double the life, half the manufacturing carbon foot print. Greed is the only impediment.    The materials generated by SwRI are the RESULT not an estimation or a hypothesis.    Don't delude yourself sir, EV's have as many pitfalls as ICE's. We just don't know what they are yet and it will take longer to sort as MARKETING and GREEDY CEO's have had more time to polish the turd they are selling.
    • You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.
    • Diesel hit $6.00 here today at the truck stop.   Payed $2.79 for E85 today too.
    • Thanks for posting, I'm sure it will help someone
    • New to diesel trucks. I happened to find my oil cooler leaking oil externally with only 4,000 miles on the truck. I didn’t realize this was an issue until I started researching it. Dealer is going to replace it under warranty but I’m wondering if there’s anything GM is working on to fix this issue. I’ve heard the oil filter used is the same as they use on their V6 motors and that’s what is causing the problems. Should I switch to a bigger filter or keep using the OEM recommended?
