Remote Oil Filter On 8.1

I did a search and didn't find anything current on moving the engine oil filter to the frame. Is the anybody that has done this and with what kit. I don't what the amsoil dual kit, I what just a simple stock filter. Thanks tractorsx

 

 

I forgot to add the it is on a 2005 HD2500 8.1 with ally trans.

never done it before or seen any kits, im just curious what the advantage is or why do you move the oil filter location, is it just for ease of channging,..

I relocated the oil filter on my 502. That block has two oil filter bypass valves that were factor set at 11pounds pressure differential each. One was for the oil filter and the other was for the production oil cooler. I had to change the oil filter bypass valve in the block to a 30 lbs pressure differential.. (GM 25161284). I used a Perma-Cool from Summit. I hard piped mine instead of using the supplied rubber hoses in the kit and painted the lines black. Works Sweet !!!!

Yes that is the only reason, convience to get to filter. No matter what tricks you try and you it is still a Major PITA to get at it in its present location!!!
