the diablosport Predator (and Trinity) have better performance tunes, better gains, and most adjustability of any programmer...

you'd need the U7194 Predator - http://diablosport.com/index.php?module=ht...play&pid=83

and the Trinity would work with your truck as well - http://diablosport.com/index.php?module=ht...lay&pid=151

I'll have to second the above comments. IF you are going hand held then Diablo is the only choice.

If you are considering Custom then my choice is under my Avatar.

I too would recomend researching a custom tune. I originally wanted a Predator so I read up on their forum about the lack of TCM support, then found out about custom tunes, specifically Black Bear, and went that way.

custom tunes can be gotten for the predator and the persons specific vehicle as well from a diablosport CMR tuner (like myself)...

and as for the TCM/tranny support, it is currently in testing and will be released once calibrations and testing are complete.

This will include all T42 and T43 TCMs from 05 Vette to 2010 GM trucks.

I love my diablo and the support/help you've provided, but I've been hearing that story now for more than a year. :rollin:

All things being equal, looks like custom tunes are the way to go. But if you had to get a hand held tuner, the major ones are Edge, Hypertech, Diablosport, Bullydog and Superchips. I cannot speak from experience about Edge CTS or Diablosport Predator tuners, but I did get me a Superchips Flashpaq over the weekend and am very happy with it; and I'm just using their default 91 octane tune.

:sigh::eek::(

After 3 years they are still saying the same thing. "In Development"

I'm sorry but TCM support was promised long ago and never happen. They are not worried about their current customers at all, they already have your money. And I guess they don't care if you buy from them again, like they should.

Thanks everyone for your opinion and experience.

But wont the blackbear tune void warranty and i wanna keep my shit for a long time so i dont wanna **** anything up either ...iono this is hard lol

you can get custom tunes for the Predator from a CMR dealer/tuner (like me!) that can create you a custom tune based on data logs you provide, and it will give you even better performance than the preset tunes, and you are still able to restore original backup to the vehicle before you take it in for any service/warranty work, so that nothing is present as far as having had a tune on there... and you can still also adjust any of the available parameters yourself, even with a custom tune....

so the predator does offer excellent gains and the most flexibility...

Since you have an 09, I'm gonna guess you have a 6 speed. Which I don't know if there is any programmer out there that can tune it. You best best would be waiting on the AutoCal to be released from EFI Live tuning. Then you can get a custom tuner like Blackbear to tune your truck and trans. You can return your truck to stock when ever you want.

I have the 4 speed with the shift firmness increased and a corvette servo for faster firmer shifts. I hate driving the 6 speed trucks, too long and slow to shift. The 6 speed computers are in the trans, while the 4speed TCM are next to the ECM, so I can switch my factory computers back in and the dealer will never know.

To me it is pointless to tune a trucks engine and not the trans. The truck is going to shift slow and soft and burn the clutches more. Plus you will feel a firmer shift so much more than your ever gonna feel the 20 extra horses.

Do your research, and you will find that these truck have alot of Torque Management stuff like 4sec delay, that a programmer won't get rid of.
