Package Question

i got a question on three different packages for the silverado. one is the z85 is that just like a towing deal or heavier suspension or something. and the decal on the back of the box some say 4x4 and some say z71 is there really that much of a difference? i heard people say the z71 has a skid plate 265 tires a tow hitch better shocks different gear ratios, but then heard a guy say his said 4x4 and it had from the factory a skid plate 265 tires and a tow hitch...so many people say so many things thought you guys would know. and if it is tru that the z71 has a different gear ratio than the 4x4 then what are the to ratios.
