Ebay Windoow Tint Precut Kits

anyone use the precut kits before on ebay? i was thinking about giving them a try on the front 2 windows on my 96 yukon.

 

15 bucks shipped cant really be beat, price wise, lol.

 

searched, but didnt find any posts that were relevant.

for the front two windows it is just as easy to remove the window, buy some quality tint at the local auto parts store and cut it yourself. Very easy to do if you remove the window.

I've never tried any non name brand tint, my dad has a buddy who runs a tint/detail shop, and he hooks me up with a good price, I only paid $100 for 15% on the whole back window, 35% on the side windows, and a 5% windshield strip.

 

But for 15 bucks it might be worth a try, if it's shotty you can get it done right and only be out $15

yea, i had planned on removing the windows to do it. going 20% i think would match the factory back windows.

 

a shop here in town will do it for 50, but im cheap, so im debating on what to do.

If they'd do it that cheap, I'd skip the eBay tint if they use good quality tint, and do a good job

no dont get them.It is crap tint you can buy better tint in walmart and can get a roll for $20.00.

15% matches. you have to account for the sun through the windshield. Ask me how i know!

I wouldn't buy them. It is a bit ch to take off bad tint.

I bought a kit once. When I tried to install it I didn't make past the first window. There was all kinds of grit and crap under the film. I ripped it off and paid a pro to do it. Major PITA.

thanks guys. yea im kinda anal when it comes to stuff like that. so ill just have a pro do it, and know it has a warranty.

I'd go 15% on the fronts to match the rears. the stock deep tint on the rears is about 17-18%. but you've got to remember in the front you've got the whole windshield letting in sunlight that makes the front tint appear to be lighter than it really is.

 

I've got 20% on the fronts and on cloudy days it looks dead on, but when the sun is shinning the fronts look a touch lighter than the rear. Just something to think about, because if I could redo it, I would have gone 15% on the front.

I tinted three trucks with the precut ebay tint kits. And all turned out great. My 07 front 2 windows have it and my back rear window has it on it. I only bought them from a guy here in WI with the ebay name of porchguy (I think).

I did mine from the precut on ebay. Came out better than any truck I have had done before. The secret is to clean and keep the windows wet. Squeeze the water out and in 30 minutes you can complete a truck.
