2006 Sierra - Light Switch Question

Recommended Posts

Hey Folks,

Just curious to see if my light switch inside the cab is functioning properly. I usually run my lights in the "Auto" setting, but the way I read my Owner's Manual, I should be able to turn the headlights "off" by turning the switch to the "O" position, (of course, the dial automatically returns to the "Auto" position).

So my question is... "how does this work", because my lights stay on even after I hit the "O" position.

Is this normal? If it is, then how do I turn the lights "off".

Thanks.

In Canada, I understand you can not turn off the DRLs. I wonder if that is somehow involved?

Truck did that to me several times so I turned it all the way to ON for the headlights (all the way to the right) and then flipped it all the way to the left at the "O" position and it never gave me any more trouble

Thanks Guys,

Yeah, I know I should not be able to cancel the DRL's so maybe this has something ot do with it. I am actually stopping by a dealership today to pick something up, so I'll ask them about it.
