Hello everyone Im new to this site. Im a Proud owner of an 08 sierra 1500 WT. So far it has a few mods done to it. Such as 2" lift (more to come), flowmaster 40 series muffler, Hypertech tuner, throttle body spacer, and a K&N intake. This spring im looking into putting dual exhaust on my truck. i am really happy with the sound of my flowmaster 40 series but wish it was a little louder. does anyone know how comparable the american thunder dual exhaust is to what i already have? thank you for any replies

I forgot to ask if anyone knew of any other exhaust companies that made a single in dual out exhaust system for a regular cab, 8' box? i know i have spent a lot of time looking things up for this truck and if it was ext. cab they have something for it.

First welcome to the site, second I think your bet bet is going to get a custom system from a exhaust shop. They can put the muffler you want and then pipe it any way you want.

I have definately thought about that. however my dad had a custom dual exhaust put on his older sierra with just glass packs and a couple of cats and he was up over $1000. Thats a little steep considering where i live, in 5 years or so it will be rotted off due to the snow and salt. but i guess thats the same with all of them unless they are stainless. I also should go ask the shop instead of just assuming. Thank you for the input.

well i probably wont listen to you about modding my truck. although i have a brake controller too. seems how i already have all that "junk" in my truck i can tell you that it pulls a fully loaded 14' enclosed job trailer fully loaded way better now than when it was stock. have fun pulling your pony... i didnt join this site to hear you tell me that my mods are junk. anyways i digress............................

Welcome aboard Travis. I have the Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back system myself. I wish it was louder and I have my concerns about it holding up to harsh winters and salt. For $350 it's not bad but I wish it was louder.
