I just replaced the mode actuator on my 2005 gmc sierra that is on the drivers side under the dash to the left of the center hump. It now works great except my passenger side is stuck on the dash vents still. Does anyone know if the passenger side has a separate actuator for those vents? My drivers side was stuck on defrost so i replaced the one mode actuator. Any help guys and gals?

disregard. I did the recalibration and reset of the system and it works great now.

pulled the hvac/eas fuse for 1 minute

reinstalled it.

turned key to on for 1 minute

started truck for 3 minutes.

opened / shut door

started again with roadtest.

my vents were stuck on defrost, and the passenger side blew cold and drivers side blew hot. I then pulled the actuator and noticed inside it had stripped gears. So i bought an actuator at rockauto and replaced it. First mounted it, then plugged the harness in. Then turned key on and watched it cycle/recalierate itself for a minute or so. Then i started my truck and the drivers vents were perfect, but the passenger blew only out of the dash vents. Temperature wise it did everything correct. I found on here that to reset the hvac you should use a scan tool, but the post also gave the way i wrote in my previous post as an alternative to the scan tool. This reset my hvac and all (ents work fine. My dual climate does temps correct and out of the appropriate vents. Please excuse any misspelling. Im writing on my cell phone
