Removing Lower Bumper Piece

How can I remove the guard on the bottom of my bumper? I don't have any decent pics right now but some of the sierra's have it and some don't, must of been an option.

I think you are talking about the small air dam under the front bumber valance, this was to improve gas mileage, they only make a small difference in MPG, get under there and look, its only held on with plastic clips, you can tak it off in less that 5 minutes. If you don't like the results you can put it back on just as fast, don't sweat it.

Mine feel off from a snow storm and not sure if i should replace it or not. How much does it actually help with gas milage?

I took mine off as soon as I bought the truck. I was afraid it would get ripped off, or I would be pushing snow with it. It looked stupid anyways, b/c it was about 2-1/2" lower than the rest of the truck IMHO.

The air dam helps fuel economy and front end stability at highway speeds, cuts lift.

I was using my front tow hooks to pull out some shrubs going in reverse....a stubborn shrub cause my old strap to break....the hook came back and smacked the air dam ripping it in half.... It was pretty easy to remove....I thought it was a couple bolts and threaded clips.....

 

Lucky I didn't take out a headlight or the windshield, it was a perfect shot. lol

Exactly why mine came off 1st thing too It's just too low with it on and it has no benefit to me

I had to take mine off and reinstall it on the new valance which came with the fog light kit which I installed. I remember that taking off that bottom piece was not as easy as I first thought - those clips or pins are pretty stubborn.

Mine is being pretty stubborn too. There are 2 bolts on each corner that should just pull out but it's harder then I thought.
