Painting Receiver Hitch

Recommended Posts

Posted

I got bored so I took the hitch off the truck, got it all cleaned off with the die-grinder and wire brush. And hanging in my custom paint booth (basment corner, with cardboard on the floor and wall). I have some flat black engine enamal, and am thinking this will do the trick with a few coats, then a few coats of some clear coat.

I have never clear coated an enamel paint before and have heard some stories about it not working out very well. Anyone ever tired this or have any tips?

I will post pics as soon as its all done!
