Exaust Questions?

So Ive been thinking about a few more mods to do to go along with my Leveling Kit when I get it installed, and when I get my front bumper cover that will come primered, be painted white and then installed. I want to take my truck to a local exuast shop, and get it cut off in front of the muffler, and have him put a new muffler on with a catback. Ive had him do this with my 05, and he does really nice work. He used an IMCO Muffler on my other truck which sounded good, but I don't know how it would sound on this truck? I want a muffler that will be LOUD since this truck doesn't have headers like my other one did. Im also not sure if I will like what the exaust sounds like when it hits 4cyl mode though? I also don't know what this would do to my warranty? I assume it would just void the exaust warranty if anything, but I don't really care about that anyway. Any input on mufflers and 4cyl mode sound would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Corsa DB black or Magnaflow or MBRP. No chambered mufflers because they make 4cl mode sound horrible.

Ok so Im guessing a straight through design is what I want then. Anyone know the pipe diameter so I can get the right size muffler?

Go full 3inch single in single out. I was running a Flowmaster but it was robbing me of low end power, as of yesterday I now run a Magnaflow and love it. Nice and loud at WOT but mellow when cruising and no more drone which is the best part. Good luck on the decision and do keep us posted.

Ah im not a fan of the single out exaust. Even stock I don't like how it looks. It does cost less to do it that way though, but I guess I have expensive taste lol. I also don't want to replace the cats yet either. I just want it louder and somewhat more power.

My MBRP is really loud and some drone. Corsa db black are loud but I don't know if they idle loud. And in Magnaflow you need to get a short muffler to be loud.

I found these two, but im not sure how big the exaust inlet needs to be?

3" is what you need for you truck as an inlet. i have an 18" magnaflow and it is just loud enough. I didn't want to get anything shorter (i dont want to sound too loud). It is pretty quiet at idle and will make noise when you open 'er up.

Wow really I didn't think they used 3" from the factory, but thats sweet. As far as loudness goes, the louder the better! My other truck was loud with the headers and exaust and the town cops always gave me dirty looks when I got on it from a stop when I would leave Sheetz at night I like how the Hemi Rams sound with duals, and thats the sounds I like to get close to.

Anyone have any idea what would happen warranty wise if I did this?

If you want loud exhaust, I'd get a programmer or tune to disable AFM. I have glasspacks on my truck and when it'd kick into V4 Mode on the highway, the sound and drone was horrendous.
