5th Generation Camaro?

I just got my Sept issue of Motor Trend today and they are showing some sketches as to what they would like to see the 5th Gen Camaro look like.  It's one awsome looking car!!!  Retro like the first Generation, with the flare of todays styling!!!

Will they build it??? No one says, but the rumors inside GM is that it " would be absolutly crazy to let the Camaro name die".   Insiders say that the camaro name is being carried on by some internal enthusiasts that are pleading their case with GM.  The car is not in developement stages and speculation is that "IF" it were to come back we would have to wait till at least 2005 (after the new C6 'Vette debuts).

I've always been a big Camaro fan and I hate to see it go...

I m all for it!!!  There trying back to the 1st gen mixed with the current generation..

Mostly GM's fault for making it the price it is.. Here your looking at 42-45000 for a loaded camaro.. They have almost priced themself out of the market which could also be why there sales are down..  I really like the camaro's because they are a great car! From first year to current they turn heads and they can be a great alternative to the higher priced sportscars..

Personally i would really like to see the camaro stay in the GM line but they have to make more of an effort to make it a car that people can afford..

Long live GM PONY CARS!!

Now that is what I wanted to hear.  I've always wanted a Camaro, and it would have been a shame for GM to kill another legendary car off.  I just hope it continues to whip the Mustang in performance (like that won't happen).

I hope they keep/bring back the Camaro, but it really needs to be a RWD V8 car, unlike the new Impala and Malibu.  Both are really nice cars, but they can't do the V6 FWD treatment to the Camaro and expect to sell alot of them IMHO.
