09 Silverado Nav Non-lux Bose

I have a 2009 Silverado with the non-lux Bose Navigation touch screen system installed. I need the lux system for a least some better sounds.

What is involved in changing to lux version.

I already have a new lux amp. Do I need to change the head unit or just reprogram it? I've heard stories both ways.

There are some wiring changes to make I was told, but where?

I know there is an extra speaker needed in the dash and maybe two extra extra speakers in the rear. Any one know for sure what to do?

I have access to a Tech 2 so programing is no problem.

Anyone know what to do?

Thanks

All Silverados including the LTZ have the non-lux Bose system. Only the Denalis and Escalades and some other high end GM trucks have the Bose Lux system. No Suburban for 2009 has the Lux system. You can tell from the screen on the Navigation display-it is different-has more settings and it souinds quite a bit better than the non-lux system-I checked them side by side at the dealer-quite a difference.

I know I need a new Lux amp which I now have but I don't know if I need a new head unit or not- my dealer doesn't know either. Some say it can be reprogramed some say a complete new head end is needed. I don't know.
