New Member Needs Help Please!

Hello everyone,

I'm a new member and I own a 2000 GMC Jimmy, which I love. I've had to do quite a bit of work to the truck (Passlock problems- errr, engine stuff, heater core, brakes, etc.)

I just did the heater core and I must have done something wrong.

When the engine heats up it REALLY hot air comes from the vents. I have everything off, but it still comes out. I tried the AC (which worked before) but now it just blows out really hot air!

What did I do wrong?

I'm guess I'll need to take the dash apart again right?

Also, from my research I'm guess it's a dash or tank ground problem, but my fuel gauge goes from FULL to 3/4s (full) but stops there. It becomes a problem when my gf drives it and forgets!!! Ahhhhh!

Anything else it could be? ANyone had that problem?

THanks so much.

Not sure about the first stuff. Sounds like the float in the gas tank is stuck. You will need to have it check by someone who can drop the tank. If the ground was bad, normally it just doesn't work. sounds to me like the arm of the float is bent or cant move properly in the tank.
