SCHSIERRA Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I installed my Belltech drop shackles last weekend but didn't take any pictures because it was raining. I cleaned her up today and waxed her for the first time and got some pictures. I have Borla exhaust on the way, dual cat-back behind the tires 140232, and will be replacing the chrome grille surround and filler panel with black pieces once I get all of the part numbers.
boringwhitetruck Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Wanna trade straight up for the grille surround? I just bought an 09 sierra W/T and I really wanted a chrome grille.. Let me know if interested. Stance looks killer, I recently pulled the 1 inch blocks out of the rear to lower mine a tad. Waaayyy to high up stock!
SCHSIERRA Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 Fender Measurements ? 22" in the front from the fender to the center cap and 22 1/2" in the rear. Stance looks killer, I recently pulled the 1 inch blocks out of the rear to lower mine a tad. Waaayyy to high up stock! That is very tempting. It would save me $$$ but until I know what it looks like on the truck I don't want to get rid of my chrome grille, Sorry. I also don't want to switch the grille out until I can find the filler panel.
jwieps Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Looks good! Mine just got here yesterday. Cant wait to install.
SCHSIERRA Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 Looks good! Mine just got here yesterday. Cant wait to install. It's a piece of cake. I did it myself but had my father in-law help me pull the hitch down and hold a wrench here and there but its easy enough for one man. I had to remove the hitch and loosen six pickup box bolts to get them installed. I think the ride quality isn't quite as good, but it handles better. Good luck, hope you like them.
boringwhitetruck Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 send me an email addy and I'll send you a picture of the front on mine. Not sure which part is the filler panel you are referring to.

Rear gap on mine is exactly 1/4" taller than the front (blocks still in). I am going to have to pull my wheel liners out and trim them a bit, as the leaf rests against them and I think with a big enough bump it would crack. So far I had only drove my truck home from work (30 miles) and didnt notice much change as far as ride quality or handling....
cbsaf Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Did you use either 1 degree or 2 degree pinion shims under the leaf springs?
SCHSIERRA Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 I didn't shim anything. I just bolted the shackles on and off I went.
