You want a 9k - 12k winch. Depends on how stuck you want to get and or how much time you want spend getting out.

I'm thinking of the warn 8000 pound winch called the m8000,you think that should be enough?

Do you ever play in the mud, or would need to winch up a hill? If any of those would a yes then go with a 12k winch. It seems overkill but if you get in a spot where you need it, it will pay off right then.

your truck weights 3-4 tons depending on how tires and other variables depending on how many big girls you got in the back at the time lol :(

geez no...it doesn't weigh 7000-9000 lbs man...my truck is 2380Kg..with me in it...that's 5236lbs....add about 600-800 for the 4wd drivetrain...and if you have a lift kit and anything larger than 35's you would add about another 200....so at most you weigh 6300 lbs

Like was said...there's no such thing as overkill when it comes to a winch...you don't want it to quit when your using it....if your winching than you are really stuck...and its winch or walk home....

My Suzuki is getting an 8K...it weighs less than 2500lbs.

I don't know how much your gunna be using it, or how often and bad you'll be stuck, but IMO the bigger the better, in the atv world, it's about 2X's the weight of the machine, I have a 3,000 on my Polaris 700

True that man....plus, you never know when you'll have to use it to pull a buddy out...who may be bigger than you are...like that friend no one talks about that has the f-350 on 40's with the power choke...
