Fleet Truck Differences

Alright guys I have a few questions that have been bugging me. My '04 GMC Sierra 2500 RCLB 6.0 is a fleet

Truck. I want to know if there are any differences in the emissions controls on it than a dealership

Bought pick-up. I saw on a post a while back how to see what gears I have, I checked the dash code

And it doesn't have one, bases on when I typed the tire sizes in the computer and speeds and rpms

It told me I had 3.73's. I thought only 4.10's came on the 2500 though for 2004. I have 265/75/16

Tires and at 45mph I'm around 1600 -1700 in overdrive and at 65 I'm at 2,300-2,400 in overdrive.

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Fleet and retail trucks are or for the most part the same trucks. There are a few SEOs that having a fleet number allows me to order, but I do not ever remember seeing any SEOs that pertained to powertrain options. About the only SEO I use is the power window/locks and mirrors on WTs. Most SEOs that are availble to fleet are just like special paint, or badging deletes, that sort of thing. Really nothing that has much effect on powertrains. All the vehichles I buy come from a dealer. More often then not they are right off the lot.

check your glove box for the gu6 gu4 or anything with gu...thats the gears...then type it into the rpo look up on this site...all those codes on that sticker are the equipment that came on the truck....as far as differences between fleet and dealer they should be almost the same, emission standards are set by the goverment a fleet can't change that unless its from a different country...

04 was the last year for the LD 2500s they were avail. with 3:73 or 4:10s.

If you have a LD model you may indeed have 3:73s.

2500s had 245s from the factory and no difference in the emissions either

except for Cali or the NE states vehicles.

Like JRO posts..............Check your RPO sheet for the GU code.
