My wife wants to get a Droid when its time to upgrade. She has a Blackberry now and hates it. Had to have it replaced by Verizon 4 times. How is the Droid? Any problems yet?

I have a T-Mobile G1 which uses the Android software. I love it. We just bought my son a MyTouch for Christmas and he loves it.

Absolutely no problems with it at all, and I have had it since release in November. Some people say the physical keyboard is crap, but I love it. Best phone I have ever owned. I swapped from a Blackberry Curve as well and have never looked back since! My newest favorite app is called Virtual Walkie Talkie, which acts much like a CB but uses webservers to host the 40 channels, awesome to have PTT on a non Nokia device! The public channels are filled with idiots talking hate, but with the option to host private channels the possibilities are endless.

That's what I have...And I'm pretty tired of it.

 

Pretty buggy. Especially since this last update. It crashes constantly while messaging.

 

I'm about 2.5 seconds away from getting that new HTC HD2 though. It's got some slick stuff on it and my contract is almost up.

I got a Motorola Droid a week or so ago. We reupped our Verizon plan and I wanted something fancy. I love it so far and am too using it now for the forum as I type. I love being able to use it in the shop I work at. It's hurry up and wait so I get downtime to surf. The other thing I love is that I can tap into a wireless signal and it is way faster.

They may be better now, but after having a Tilt I'll never own another HTC product. I'm still using it as a Blackberry replacement for work but I'm hoping they'll let me use my iPhone 3GS and ActiveSync when they get done implementing Exchange 2007.
