Ac Blow-by Through Heater Vent

My 02 ECSB 2wd, 5.3 auto. diverts some AC air thru the heater vent onto my feet. All the functions operate properly and you can hear the doors moving and closing when you change a setting. I do not know if something might be blocking that door. Could it be slightly opening the heater vent when the ac is on? I just do not know enough about working on an ac system. I have seen one apart and I do not want to try that project. Tell me what to look for so at least I can figure out if it is something easy. Thank you for your help.

so what you are saying is that you are stuck on "bi-level"?

sounds like an actuator on the door in the plenum is getting lazy. I'm not familiar with how difficult that is to replace on the '02 trucks.

Does not seem to be stuck anywhere.

Everything seems fine except for my right foot freezing when the ac is on. Something is just not right in this mysterious world of inner ac components.

Any ideas out there.
