New Rims And Tires After Lift Kit

Guys, got a 7.5" lift kit on order for my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 EC and I have gone wheel shopping this afternoon. The rims will be Ion Alloy 18x9 rims and the tires Nitto Tera Grapplers 325/60/18. I need to know if these rims and wheels will fit as the installer wanted to fit 17" rims after I have confirmed with Rough Country that 17" won't fit.

Will these tires rub any or will they be fine?

as for acceptable rim widths... per Nitto's website, the Terra Grappler 325/60R18 is approved for rim widths of 9.0" to 12.0"

as for height... I know Fabtech advertises their 6" lift gives the ride height to properly clear 35” tall tires. A 7.5" lift should be plenty!

only question left is what's the offset of the rim? (though not sure if that even matters with 7.5" lift) i'm not really up to par on offsets but i'm sure someone else could chime in...

With a lift, your backspacing/offset is most important to figure out. Also with a lift, you probably want to go with a wider wheel.

You should be ok but make sure you have a negative backspace cause the tires are almost 13" wide, but they are only 33" tall.

These rims are 0 offset, so 4.5" backspacing. According to Tough Country the rims must be atleast 18" and with minimum 4.5" and maximum 5.0" backspacing. I need to find out from someone here that has the 7.5" kit from Rough Country what size rims and tires they run.

-12 offset will give you 4.5" of backspacing and 0 offset will give you 5" of backspacing on those x9's. I would go with 5" of backspacing and I would go with a 325/65/18.

Thanks for the info. New tire choice after a lot of reading in BFG KO AT 325/65/18. The only question I have left is will these rub on the Rough Country lift?
