Control Arm Question

On my 2wd 95 GMC sierra I put a leveling kit on which was coil spring spacers. Anyways the alignment guy told me that my control arm as maxed out and one of my front tires still kicks out at the bottom. I was told that I would have to buy aftermarket ( longer arms, offroad) upper control arms in order to straighten out my tires. My question is would this still be necessary if I got bigger tires? It has 245's on it now I was planning on putting 285's on it. My thought is that the larger tire would raise the control arm which would make it so it wouldnt have to be longer to keep a straight wheel. Am I thinking straight, or is it just wishful thinking?
