My New Seat Covers

Well, here are some pics of the new seat covers, and what I think about them. Overall, I am not impressed. I went with the NeoSupreme. These are supposedly the same thing as the Neoprene, but with out the inner waterproof section. Well, they are not and they feel kinda cheap. The directions are horrible. They are generic and did not apply to my truck, but I did figure them out. The head rest covers fit poorly where they close at, but thankfully they will not be seen because they are all the way down. The back seat is really bad. They dont cover everything, and when my seats are up, all the straps they use to connect them with are visible and looks tacky, and I always ride with my seats up, so I will always see them. Also, on the back seat, they top velcroes to the bottom where they meet at in the center between the seats. So every time you fold the seat, it all bunches up and you have to readjust them when you lay the seat down. They look good overall and are better than nothing, but I deffinately see some katzkins in the future if I can ever afford them.

Anyways, here are the pics.

I got these also and I am not 100% happy either with the thickness. As far as fit, I think they are about as good as you can expect for covers, but I was expecting more for ~ $150. And I can honestly say that I am glad I held off on paying for the GMC embroidering as that looks cheap. I kicked it around and decided to have it done locally once the shop business dies down from all the baseball team orders. I want a much thicker lettering in a bright red on mine.

I didnt pay extra for it either, it was thrown in for me. It is cheaper than what I have seen though.

Umm...how do expect to get the seat covers snug without straps on the bottom? I have the actual neoprene CoverKing seat covers in my truck and I am extremely pleased with 'em.

I think you are impossible to please from reading your other thread.

No, not impossible to please, just dont like paying alot for something and not getting the product as advertised or getting what was agreed upon when the order was placed. Thats what is wrong today, to many people say that oh well, its comon or you are to picky. Well damn right I am picky, its my money. As for the straps, they dont have them on the back, they use velcro. I think a better approach for the rear seats would have been to make the covers completely cover the bottom and velcro together like they did on the top portion on the front seats. That would not look as tacky as having the straps hanging all over the place. Also, the fit is not that great for something that was advertised as being a custom fit cover.

I agree, it would look nicer if the bottoms were covered, but that would require more material and increase the price. The idea behind the Neosupreme is to save money compared to the full Neoprene.

And FWIW, I think the logo looks good. And obviously AccessorizeYourVehicle.com gave you a good price.

I will pass your comments on to Coverking. They appreicate customer feedback.

AccessorizeYourVehicle.com absolutely gave me a good deal, and I have no complaints with them. As for my comments, I have several emails with them. I would not mind paying a little more for something nicer looking. Guess I am just a complainer lol.

    • Here's the second UOA on my 22 Wrangler with the Ecodiesel. This has 5k miles on AMSOIL Signature Series DEO 5w-40. The first one was dealer installed oil, no clue what it was, the second is what AMSOIL recommended, European FS 5w-40, Most of the Ecodiesel world is showing great results using the European MS 5w-40, I figured I would see how the DEO works. This is using an Ecoguard oil filter. It's my understanding this engine likes to shed aluminum.  We will see. So far I don't think this is too bad.
    • I'm surprised nobody seems to offer a solution like the start/stop device I put in my new truck. Remembers my setting when shutdown. And while it still starts up in start/stop, it stores/evaluates what mode it was in when shut down and will change it whithin a second or 2 of startup. It'd be nice to have something like that for the DRLs.
    • 2015 Sierra 1500 here. Leaks from the sunroof to front driver side and soaks carpet. How do I fix this? Thanks!
    • I will be doing that for sure, but I need to solve who has/ where I can find a bidirectional scan tool that will support OBD 1.5. I'm kicking myself because I ebay'ed a Snap On MT2500 that I didn't think I'd ever need anymore. D'oh!! I'd rather not buy another, so I'll contact a few local shops to see if they have one and how much they'd want to do the procedure. I'd rather have the ability to do it myself... I wish there was a modern tool that could do it all, but I'd have no idea what to buy.   The theory with the pulled timing is that it mimics a rich condition. The delayed spark causes incomplete burn and the O2 sensor picks up low oxygen levels. That's interpreted as a rich condition so the PCM pulls fuel and that shows up in the deeply negative fuel trims.
    • An ultra wealthy man had the most beautiful daughter. But, there was a problem. Everything she touched would melt in her hands. No matter what, Metal, Wood, Stone. Anything she touched would melt. She could not feed herself. Because of this, men were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her. Her father was despaired. What could he do to help his daughter? He consulted doctors, scientists and anybody who could solve this problem. Finally one of them said, "If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in her hands, she will be cured." He was overjoyed and came up with a plan. The next day, he held a competition. Any man who could bring his daughter an object that would not melt in her hands would be given billions of dollars to marry her. Three extremely intelligent and handsome young men took up the challenge. The first brought a very heavy steel rod, But alas, when the she touched it, it completely melted in a matter of seconds. He sadly went away. The second brought a beautiful diamond, knowing diamonds were one of the hardest substance in the world and would not melt. But alas, once she held it in her hand, it melted. He too was sent away disappointed. So now, there was one left He was very nervous & sweating. He approached the daughter & said, “put your hand in my pants pocket and feel what is in there." She did exactly what he asked. She felt something very hard. She held it in her hand, squeezing it as hard as she could. It did not melt & remained extremely hard. Her father was overjoyed. Everybody was overjoyed. She was finally cured. Nothing never, ever melted in her hand again. They married and they both lived happily ever after, raising a wonderful family. Question: What was in the the groom’s pants pocket??? Answer below ↓ M&Ms of course! They melt in your mouth, not in your hand. What on earth were you thinking?
