Front Wheel Noise At A Given Speed

Recommended Posts

Hi! Hope I can get a little guidance. I own a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. I have recently noticed when driving on the highway that I begin to hear noise coming from my driver's side wheel at around 60 mph.

I thought that maybe it was a balance / rotation issue so I had the wheels rotated and balanced. The issue remains. I am a little split on the diagnosis. I think it may be a wheel bearing issue however I am not ruling out a CV joint problem. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? I have around 55,000 miles on the vehicle and have had pretty good luck with it so far.

I had the front brakes gone over also with no issues identified in that area.

Below the mentioned speed of approximately 60 mph the noise is not evident so it's not anything that I could drive at a given speed somewhere and try turning to see if it remains or disappears.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
