I discovered this Forum while doing research (surfin' the web) for my 2001 Chevy Express LT Van. I purchased it new and now have 103k on the odometer. It has been our Interstate Cruiser & sits in the garage a lot of the time. I am in the market for a Toy Hauler and need to ready the van for towing a 6000# trailer. I am looking at the Tekonsha P-3 Brake Controller. A transmission cooler will be added, the Tru-cool ones look like a possible fit for up front. I would also need a way to monitor trans temperature and was thinking of the ScanGuageII. The van has a 5.7 Vortec with 4L60E trans. I live in Pembroke Pines, Fl. (south Florida) and am planning on an extended trip out West to Bellevue, Washington and back. Thanks for any suggestions you may have regarding my upgrade plans for towing. Thanks Tim.

Welcome!

The Tekonsha's are nice brake controllers. I've had two different models in the past and both worked very well.

The ScanGaugeII is good, there are many here with them. I used to have an AreoForce guage, similiar in function and used it for transmission temperature. You may want to look at that one too.
