79 Gmc Truck Question

Hello everyone I hope someone can help me with this.

 

My dad has a 1979 GMC 1/2ton shortbed 4x4 stepside we are trying to find some info on.

 

The truck has only a 11 digit vin number starting with T. (the vin was read off the dash plate).

 

The truck has a sticker on the door that says Sands Three River, M.I. and has truck number and paint numbers where are not there.

 

The truck is a brownish color with a painted motive running along the side of the truck. The scene is a wooded area and has a sign that says "SandBox" below it.

 

I have no photos of the truck at the moment, but if you need some I can go out and get some shortly.

 

Any help with this would be much appreciated thanks.

 

OH FYI not original motor it is a 350 crate and the truck has a 6in lift under it. We bought it this way.

run the vin thru a dealer , and check the glove box for the rpo codes also
