Grease Smell

I have a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 W/T 4.8l reg cab standard box with almost 2000 miles on it. My problem is a grease smell when I accelerate, dealer says it is normal with new trucks. I have had new Dodges and no smell like that, so what could it be? I see no fluids leaking.

Is it possible you ran over a plastic bag and it is melted on the exhaust?

your dealer is an idiot,take it to another and make it happen for them with you in the truck,get the regional guy involved if you are not getting satisfaction

I noticed my truck was sort of stinky sometimes if I went full throttle on it a few times, noticed it only when I had been driving aggresive, I got the same one 2007, doesn't seem to happen anymore though, mind you I don't beat my truck much anymore.

 

As for the the bag on exhaust, I had that happen once and it can take awhile to burn off!
