07 Sierra Denali Vs Yukon Denali Vs Escalade

I am looking into buying one of these three vehicles in the future. I want either a Denali or Escalade, but coming from a 2002 Sierra SLT, I don't know if I want another truck or go to an SUV.

How do these compare to each other?

Second, reading up on these, they all have the same 6.2l engine, but in 2007, the year I want, the Sierra and Escalade are rated @ 403hp, and the Yukon @ 380hp. Why is that?

Different tunes are the reason for different HP numbers. Truck versus SUV is really your personal decision. I have thought the reverse, I would like a pickup since I've been driving SUVs for 15 years.

I looked at the Escalade when I bought my YD. Could not justify the price increase for basically body molding and HID lights. If you have the cash and want the Caddy, go for it. I just think the premium price does not get you much.

SO it is possible with a custom tune to get the 400hp from the Yukon? I agree that there is not a $10,000 difference between the Yukon and Escalade.

As for another truck or an SUV, I don't really "need" a truck day to day. But, times like this weekend when I was building a deck, and need to pick up lumber, parts, etc. It sure was nice to have one.

i would stick with a SUV... if you dont need a truck for anything too big a yukon can hold A LOT in side of it dont forget that... its a pain in the ass to not be able to keep anything in the bed of my truck and there is not much room in my ext. cab... i think tonneu covers are a waste but thats becasue i haul a lot with my truck

i would go with the yukon denali

Ya, I think I am leaning towards the Yukon. The 23 less hp made me wonder, but I doubt I will notice it at all.

Still, I think I should drive all three, or at least the two Denali.

Don't forget the SUV's weigh more than the pickups. I believe my YD is 5700lbs without me. so all else being equal, the pickup would be a bit faster if you are concerned about that.

If I have some money.. I would buy a escalade.. but.. Thats just me

Looked at both myself and bought the Denali in 07. 2/10 I finally got my 6.2L tuned by BlackBear. Tune included TM. I can tell you my truck performs far better than before the tune. Lets say that it now easily turns the tires over when hitting second gear(275/55/20). This truck hauls the mail let me tell you. It outperforms my sisters Sclade(07). It get 19mpg on the road now....an improvement of 1.5 mpg before the tune. Dont waste your $$, buy the Denali.
