Looking Into Getting These, Your Thoughts Opinions ?

I am looking into getting these Luverne running boards w/ cab and bed steps, always liked the look but my last truck I just got the step bars at the cab, give me your thoughts,ideas, should I get the cab and bed all together or just the cab ?

I'm not a fan of running boards, but those actually look pretty good.

I'm not usually a fan of running boards, either. But I do think these would look very good on your truck.

I prefer nerf bars...but that actually pretty good.

Tubular step bars are my taste tooooo. Running boards belong on the wife's SUV...... Just my 2 cents....... To each his own..... Running boards remind me of the Full Size conversion vans that were sold in the late 80tys and early 90tys....

Yea the running boards remind me of a Lady's Vehicle.. id only consider them on SUV's not trucks

Here are some ideas of what it could look like, I used paint so its not as good as it could be but it was a quick toss together for an idea.

 

With the running boards on the cab and bed

 

Or an alternative is to get Westin oval steps

Well I found out today that the running boards I was looking into needed to be drilled at the bed to mount so I said forget it, I went with tubular bars on my truck instead, went with oval instead of circular.

I think you made the right choice regardless of drilling...I think the nerf bars look much better

running boards are kind of reserved for senior citizens....tubes or just the one run step bars don't look too bad as long as you don't go giant...be warned though step assists are like plows in brush and also suck to try to get under for oil changes lol
