Cd Player Not Working

I have a 2003 1500HD with the Bose system and the CD part of the stereo is not working. All the controls for the CD stuff just don't work, it was working fine on our vacation and I haven't driven it in a couple of weeks. If you hit the eject or load buttons nothing works and when in CD mode you cannot switch between any of the 6 disks or play the disk it is currently on (#6). Anyone have any ideas or come across this before? I tried looking online and on this forum and haven't found any info.

thanks

Try unhooking you're battery for a few minutes. I know that seems simple, but sometimes is resets everything. My CD player in my 05 quit working several years ago. I couldn't eject the CD that was in there and it wouldn't even come on when I pushed the button for the CD player. One day I left my lights on and my battery was dead. Jumped it and the CD player went back to working. I had a similar deal with our Acadia. The DVD player quit working so I hooked/unhooked the battery and she's working fine. It's worth a shot and won't cost you anything but you're time.

Thanks for the reply, I did try that after posting and now it says I have no CD's loaded (5 are loaded) and none of the CD buttons work. I did more investigating online and this is a common problem as far as I can see from online posts. Most people are told by the dealer to buy a new stereo. Guess it is time for an ipod adapter.
