03+ Steering Wheel In 99-02 Silverado

I've tried to search here and a few other forums on this topic but couldn't find a straight answer. Can I swap an 03+ silverado steering wheel into my 99 nbs silverado? It's seems as if retrofitting the steering is not the problem its the air bag because the 03+ 1500 silverado's have 2 stage airbags. I've also heard that the 03+ 2500 and 3500 silverado's have single stage air bags like the 99-02 silverado's and have the same exact connector. Would I be able to keep the 99 clockspring? or would I need to grab one from a 03+ 2500 or 3500. Please let me know or provide a link that has the appropriate material

Nevermind, just found the answer to my question. looks like I would have to change the whole column out.
