Looking To Put Larger Tires On My Silverado

I'm looking to put larger tires onto my 09 Silverado 1500 4x4. Though I'm not sure if I need to get an autoleveling kit. I have stock 265/70/17's now I would like to up grade to some 285/70/17's. Also I would love to put some new rims on it. But again I'm unsure, because I have read about offset of rims due to specs of front and rear axles. Would this affect my sensors, such as traction control, or air pressure sensors? My last question is if I put larger tires on do I need to have my speedometer recalibrated? Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I wanna do the same thing...but I want to go with 20" wheels. I want a wider tire...but as much profile as I can fit to save the ride quality. I have no clue where to start.

just throw a leveling kit on it, get it alinged and then figure out which 285's you want. Your sensors will be fine, i have ran up to 55psi in my 275 65 18's. With the taller tire you might need a slight recal but a custom tune will do the same.
