Mud Flaps

Hi...Just got my gmc sierra it is an 08 crew slt 4x4. I want to put genuine gmc contour mud flaps with the gmc logo. I do not want to screw into my metal. Does anyone know if this is possible? My old gmc had predrilled holes and the newer ones do not seem to have them??

Thanks

I installed the Weather Tech on my 08 Silverado - no drilling but no logo. If you could be happy without the logo I highly recommend the Weather Tech.

Thanks. Did everyone else have to drill? I just did not want to pierce the metal without having protection on it. Rust is the enemy.

I just added them to my truck. No drilling for the front, uses the same holes that hold the wheel liner in. The back does require drilling. I drilled the holes then added a little undercoating on the holes and put the screws in while it was still wet so it would seal good.

When i used to install stereos, we used silicone or rtv in the screw holes. If the air can't get at the metal it won't rust. Undercoating is a hell of an idea as well. If you bought the spray can stuff just spray some in a dixie cup and apply with a craft brush or a toothpick or a stick from the back yard. That way it only goes where you want it.

Get the WT's. The no drill idea is a great one! Very funtional and a little bit better looking than the oem ones imho.

do you have a picture? How do you like the weathertech liners ? Debating that or the huskies

keep in mind that only the weather tech is no drill. Here is a pic of my truck, but it is not very good for seeing the flaps up close.

do u have any pics?

I wasn't going to put them on, I'm not really a fan of the looks. But the front tires throw too much stuff on the running boards so I had to. I figured I might as well also do the back while I was at it, I'm hoping they help keep the rock chips off my trailers. I wanted all of them to be plain, but GM doesn't make plain ones for the back and I like to stick with factory options.

The last photo looks like it doesn't fit to well. It's just the angle of the photo, it fits perfect.

I recently bought WeatherTech mud flaps for our 2004 Tahoe LT and they look identical to the ones above.

Took maybe an hour to fit all four and the fit was profoundly perfect in every way.

Like you, I got tired of cleaning the side and rear panel of the Tahoe.

This type of mud flap looks pretty good on the Tahoe.

I prefer larger ones on my truck. Here is a photo of the ones I had put on my brand new 2010 Silverado:

I got stock GM mudflaps and am going to have to drill for the rear ones only...the front ones use existing holes. HOWEVER, a word of advice for anybody who can use it...put the front mudflaps on BEFORE installing a nerf stepbar (at least a Westin brand one). I almost had to take both of them off to get the underside bolt in place, and was able to make about 200 1/4" rotations with a wrench
