Can the rock chip protective clear sticker thing be safely removed?

I think it looks stupid and I suspect after a while it will discolor and look even worse.

Can it be safely removed?

What's the best method.

I'm not messing with mine. With all the chips on my hood, I can only imagine what the lower fender of the bed would look like without the chip guard tape.

Plus, if it is not fading yet, why mess with it? Wait till its fading before worrying about it.

I have never taken it off before but if you live in an area with tar/chip roads or gravel roads you might want to reconsider removing it. It is definately on there for a reason. No auto manufacturer installs it if is not needed. The chips may look way worse.

Unless your truck is a garage queen that only gets towed on a trailer to shows, don't take it off. You will regret it, guaranteed.

Its the same material made by 3M guaranteed for 5 years not to yellow or bubble, I just had my entire front grill and headlights covered with it. It can be removed, just takes a bit of effort and maybe some adhesive remover.

where did you find the front end cover?

You have to do a dealer search here 3M Paint Protection and find an installer in your area. It ran me a little over $500 for then entire front, including grill and headlight and also the back of my mirrors. A little pricey but its cheaper then a paint job and I've seen how bad the front end get chipped (Wifey's '07) You can find kits to do it yourself on Flea-bay but after watching a couple video's on utube it wasn't worth the attempt and its guaranteed for 5 years if done by an installer!
