i got the chance to try a diablo sport predator tuner before i have to pay for it so i took the chance i have a 2010 5.3L w 6spd tranny. i put the performance tune in and didnt notice any difference i wasnt expecting much as far as power goes i was hoping it would reduce TM but i dont think it did. any input from people out there with this tuner is appreciated. i went into adjusting factory tune but i really dont know what im doing so i didnt mess with anything

PM Stevens07...He had a Diablo tuner before his Black Bear custom tune.

But most guys are going to agree with me....You need a Black Bear custom tune from Justin!!!

I don't think Diablo allows you to adjust the TM,But Justin can!

i want a BB tune in the worst way but last i knew he didnt have any support for the 6spd tranny or EFI live.. so justin can adjust my tranny now? i read alot about the BB tune but its a little confusing to me im not real sure what EFI live is but from what i gathered it was what he used to adjust the tranny

EFI Live is a tuning software. It is used to tune the engine and transmission, it is a very good program. There's also HP Tuners but Justin uses EFI Live. The software does have support for the 6 speed auto, it is just that you have to do the tune in person.

Ok, you installed the 93 tune but do you have 93 octane in the tank?

Next... Do some data logging and figure out where your LTFT's are sitting. You want them adjusted to near zero. What you'll adjust is your injector slopes. So.. if the LTFT's are reading +5.33, then adjust the injector slope -5. +/- 1 is what your looking for.

AFter getting the injector slopes in line, you feel a smoother stronger power band. And you should certainly feel a throttle response difference too. It really helped my throttle delay.

Good luck.

How much better is the Black Bear Tune than the Diablo Predator programmer?

Under live data logging. Select monitor LTFT's, and go for a ride. You want to find a flat piece of highway you can cruise about 55-60 in 3rd and monitor the live data. Once you figure out the number, then go in and adjust the Injector slopes appropriately.

ALOT! Night/day comparison really. The truck just runs so much better and the transmission shifts alot better to at the right places.

Nice, I've never had a hand held programmer. The only comparison I've had is between the stock tune & the black bear tune. The stock tune is terrible, with the black bear tune my truck feels like a completely different truck.

Don't get me wrong, for my truck, the diablo was a nice increase over stock.. and did help... but just not near as much as the BB tune.. mainly because of the TM controls and transmission programming that Diablo doesn't offer. If it did... I'd probably still have the diablo. I wasn't unhappy.

But the BB tune is awesome.

so i just tried what u told me to do. i went to diagnostics then real time data then watch&record and the only place i could find anything to do with lift was under emissions and there was EGR desired pintle lift and EGR actual pintle lift is this what i want to be watching?
