What Order Would You Buy These Extras?

So the quest to get our new 2010 LT Z71 CC "Set Up" continues. We have the topper ordered, so that is done. This is the list of what we are looking to do to the truck in no paticular order. Any other things you guys/girls could add to the list, please post up!

Rear view mirror back up camera system- This is to help my wife when she is driving the truck, since we will have the cab high topper on. I am sure I will use it just as much once I get used to it.

Mud/Splash guards- Can't decide between the Husky, WT, or the GM models!

Nerf/Step bars

Tint front door windows- This will probably be as soon as I can get them done.

Maybe a "Form fitting" set of floor mats

I will probably add my sub to the stock stereo when time allows for me to build a new box.

The last thing I would like to do when all the rest is completed is add a body color center grill.

I am leaning towards the camera system as the next add on, and maybe the mud/splash guards

Thank you for you thoughts!

The mirror camera would be cool but I don't tow anything so I never use that mirror while backing up, but if it will make it safer for her to drive then that first.

Thank you guys!

As for the mud flaps, will any of them interfere with larger tires or one provide better coverage than the others with larger tires? Maybe 275 or 285's (18" wheels) LT tires.

I already have a JL sub, though it IS OLD. The stealth boxes are awsome, but a little more than I am willing to spend. I will just build a new box for under the rear seat.

DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!!!!

I'd first get the 6" oval step bars because they will help protect the lower sides and rocker area from chips, etc.

Then I'd do tint to help protect the interior.

i have the back up camera and use it more than i thought i would. makes it handy to double check nothing is behind you, especially with that topper. i still look over my shoulder too

GM Molded Splash Guards #1 Gotta protect the paint. Use 3M tape around the area where they will contact the paint to keep from scratching it. Usually can be had on Ebay for 1/2 price vs dealer.

Weather Tech floor liners #2 Gotta protect the interior first off. Love mine.

GM 6" ovals #3 Love the look and function after 6 months. Stole mine off Ebay for under $200.

Window Tint #4 Sounds like a good idea. I'm still on the fence about it though on mine.

tinting your windows is the best thing you could ever do. it keeps the truck cooler when parked and the AC gets the truck cooler and if u do your windshield u wont even need sunglasses well if u do it bellow the "legal" limit mine is about 4in bellow the marks

RC- Is your screen in the mirror, or do you have the nav unit?

Our 2k Chevy had a topper, and 20% tint on all the windows except the windshield, and the better half had trouble at night backing up. It wasn't easy even for me on real dark nights, or rainy nights. Just don't tell her that! Lol

As for the step bars- is there a cheaper place to buy the GM ones? $600 is a fair amount! I was also looking at the Truck Champ brand, but they are only 4" wide. Is the black GM model steel, or SS, or Aluminum? The black TC model is Aluminum. We plan on keeping this truck another 10 years like the last, and live in the Great Lakes State (Mi), so rust can be an issue. I want black, but not steel!

I would go with WT or GM mud flaps, then weather tech floor liners, then some nice 6" oval step bars (stainless for sure, but if you really want black, I would have them powdercoated, or you could go powdercoated aluminum), and tint somewhere in there, I really like my 35% sides, 15% rear, and 5% strip. I would say do whatever you think on when to do the mirror. Also I would add a leveling kit somewhere towards the top of the list too.

I just found a set of ABS steb bars on Ebay for $290.00 shipped. I just posted asking about them if anyone has any feedback in the Appearance forum.

This time around I will go 35% on the tint. Factory rear tint on the CC. Plus the topper whatever that will be.

I just don't like that much chrome. A little yes, but not a ton!

Thought about a leveling kit, but how much will it affect the gas mileage? Ride should be the same, correct? I cranked the bars on my 2k, and it was a little rougher obviously. Didn't bother me to much, but my wife didn't care for how rough it was.

Can you get the Gm mud guards without the Gold Bow tie. White would be fine. Or model paint? Lol

Not only the price of stainless, but EVERYTHING has gone up! It is crazy!

TY again!

I bet that is sweet! I know the Nav radio would be even better, but won't want to loose the steering wheel controls. And don't have the extra cash for the factory Nav radio.

Fraiolib,

I had a car that was tinted with 5% on the rear and back side windows, 20% on the front doors, and 50% on the WHOLE windshield! It was my 1st brand new car, and at times I miss it. It was a lot of fun!
