Headers Mod

I managed to pick up a BRAND NEW pair of LS7 headers off an '09 Z06. There in great condition, and maybe have a few thousand miles on them. Got for next to nothing compared to factory price.

Here's my question: is there any way to put them on an '08 Silverado? Just looking at it, I know it'd require some significant modification, but with an engine swap in my future, I'm wondering if i should just sit tight with them until then. I've seen a couple of Silvys with LS7s in them, but I'm not looking to go that route. Will they fit on an LSX or any other Gen IV LS?

To my knowledge they'll bolt right up to any of these newer Gm v8 gas engines gen 3 and up. But, I believe you'll have to get a shop to redo your exhaust system to match those headers. It doesn't matter if you do it now because with an engine swap as long as it's a gm gen 3+ gas engine it should fit right in place from the previous exhaust work.

That's exactly what I thought. I figured since my truck has a Gen IV block in it that it should bolt right on. You're right about the exhaust, but it also look like my engine mounts might be in the way too.
