Holy Park Avenue!

our Camaro Exhaust equipped Olds 88 is in the shop, someone backed into my mom, and our rental is a brand new 2003 Buick Park Avenue with 600 miles on it, and considering its from a dealership thats not around here, I'm guessing we're the first people to get it :) . Any way, that thing suprrised me. It will HAUL(its just the 3.8 not the s/c Ultra). I seriously think that thing could whoop my truck in the quarter, and can certainly handle better, and has a lot smaller turning radius.  Right after the first drive my dad started looking the in papers pricing them.

I never could have imagined that a big car with only 205 HP could get up like that. Maybe I'll get my hands on a DTS soon. :D

Yeah, they are pretty fast. My father is a dealer and was driving an Ultra last year as his demo. Some guy in a suped up rice burner tried to jump him at a red light. He left the guy in the dust, and when he finally caught up a couple of lights later, was embarrassed to pull along side him. The Regal GS with the 3.8L Superchaged is even quicker.

I have the same engine in my wife's Bonneville,Talk about a F&F killer.I love hooking up with those guys in their Honda civic's with their giant exhaust pipes. :) 3.8 liter 3800 SFI Series II V6, 205 horsepower @ 5200 rpm, 230 ft-lbs

torque @ 4000 rpm, and I know it will dust my truck,no doubts about it..........Gun

As an owner of an L36 (3800 Series 2 Pushrod V6) I can tell you that they have an AMAZING torque curve for a 6 cyl.  I've owned the car for 3 years, driven a couple LT1's and ridden in a couple LS1's and my 3.8 still suprises me.    It's especially fun mated to a BWT5 5 speed Manual tranny.

They're great engines.  I would still prefer to and will some day soon own an LS1 powered F-body, but for the time being, my 'lowly little V6' keeps me happy.   :)

97+ Grand Prix GTP's and Regal GS are probably the fastest (smallest) cars you can get with the supercharged version of that engine.

You can get a lot more performance potential out of them than the Northstar in the DTS, and the torque is down low like a small V8.
