Nascar Sunday What Is Wrong With Gm!

Ok..I'm am extremely disappointed and pissed at GM!!!....Sunday they are Running like it use to be in the old times...

Ford is going to run a Mustang Styled..cars...Dodge is Running challenger styled cars....and Chevrolet decided to stick with the "IMPALA" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!! Why not the Camaro Comeon....

Hey i know what you mean. But honestly...if the Impala keeps winning and pretty much dominating as it has been...fine by me. Would rather see Chevy's in victory lane. And the Nationwide car is only going to be featured 4 times this year with that new body style. Then it sounds like they are going to tweak it some more and Chevrolet said in the future they may bring the Camaro to NASCAR. And thats fine, like they said if they do it, they wanna do it right. As long as they do it right and its tastefully done and it looks right, fine by me and worth the wait. They said what they were given go work with as far as the sheetmetal it wouldn't look like the Camaro much. I am willing to wait, and am ok with seeing the Impala keep on winning until i see the Camaro.

I bet you that choice was up to more than just GM -- as in the race teams, other sponsors, sanctioning bodies, etc.

I haven't followed it to closely this year, but aren't all the cars susposed to fit into a template still? I know a few of the teams have been busted for wings, spoilers, noses that pass pre-race inspection but not post-race teardowns. If that's the case then wouldn't it mainly just be a sticker package and not much more?

gm refused to run the camaro, and im happy for it. instead of racing what isnt really a camaro, just a shell that wouldnt even resemble a camaro, theyre running it actual stock car races that actually give them an R&D advantage by racing in. NASCAR doesnt teach them anything about what works (since, you know, theyre not really stock cars). these cars, on the other hand, do:
